It-economics is once again one of the winners of the "Best Employers of Germany" competition by Great Place to Work ©. The IT consulting firm ranked 11th in the category of companies with 101-500 employees. The competition honors companies that offer their employees particularly attractive prospects and a positive corporate culture.
Great pleasure with it-economics at yesterday's award ceremony of Great Place to Work © in Berlin. It-economics was again among the best and achieved an excellent 11th place out of 700 participating companies.
"A consulting firm has exactly one asset: motivated and engaged coworkers. Since our last participation, we have invested a lot of ideas and time in an even better design of our workplace culture. We are extremely pleased to see that our commitment is paying off and that we are once again among the best employers in Germany," explains Torsten Klein, CEO of it-economics.
Enable transparency and participation
it-economics attaches great importance to the fact that colleagues can contribute to the company. To do this, we rely on the OKR management model, which enables transparency and participation. This means that all corporate goals can be presented transparently and viewed by every employee at any time. The teams themselves determine which corporate goals they want to contribute to and set concrete focal points and goals.
Promote personal development and cooperation
The second important pillar is to ensure a continuous exchange between employees and to give each individual scope for the development of his or her talents. For example, the variable bonus component has been abolished, thus ensuring that feedback and monetary rewards are no longer linked. Instead of a subsequent evaluation, the employee appraisals now focus on constructive feedback and improvements.
In order to develop a lively exchange and new impulses and to create a strong sense of togetherness despite the daily presence with the customer, employees are regularly given the opportunity to meet outside of the projects, to exchange technical information and to advance on various topics. For this purpose, we provide one "One Team Day" per month, whereby each employee can decide for themselves which topics and tasks are the focus of this day: Further formats such as the IT³-Con, the it-economics annual conference, the "All-Hands Meeting", an offsite event with all employees and many other parties and celebrations complete our offer.
Extensive analysis as the basis of the award
The evaluation basis for the Great Place to Work© competition was an anonymous survey of employees on key workplace issues such as trust in managers, quality of cooperation, appreciation, identification with the company, career development opportunities, compensation, health promotion and work-life balance. In addition, the management was asked about measures and offers of personnel work in the company and a culture audit was carried out. The decision in the competitions "Best Employers ITK" and "Best Employers Bavaria", in which it-economics also took part, is still pending.
At the end of 2018, it-economics was awarded the "Top Employer for Mid-Sized Companies" prize by Focus Business.
